Assistant Landscape Architect

Garden Club London is an award-winning landscape design and build company based in Vauxhall, London. With an ever-increasing reputation for first class service and innovative landscape design in both residential and commercial sectors, we are looking for a Landscape Architect who is passionate about working in the landscaping and horticulture industry and delivering high quality designs. You will be assisting our senior LA and working closely with Design Director by being involved in all stages of projects from conceptual and feasibility studies, through to planning applications, detailed design, tender packs and construction. This is an excellent opportunity for a pro-active and creative landscape architect to join a growing practice working on a range of projects in the UK and overseas.

Job Requirements

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Your typical day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    · Assisting design work on residential and commercial projects

    · Producing drawings for each design stage

    · Assisting the preparation of a wide range of plans including planting plans, construction details, lighting and irrigation plans

    · Liaising with manufacturers and specialists to select products and study installation details

    · Helping to deliver projects to a high standard and to the client brief

    ABOUT YOU

    Essential Criteria:

    · Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture or Garden Design

    · Proficient in Vectorworks and Adobe suit (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)

    · Creative thinking and strong presentation skills

    · Strong team player and ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

    · Passionate about plants and able to produce planting design

    · Confident working in a small office environment with a strong team focus of hard work and conscientiousness

    Desirable Criteria:

    · Previous professional experience in a similar role

    · Demonstrable ability to come up with new ways of doing things to streamline existing processes
